I'd like to filter by using different criteria for column $A.
Example:
$A $B
X Miller
S Henman
X Orwell
X Kensington
X Reed
S Zanetti
X Hansson
I filtered all entries with an 'X' in column A to a different area, where
only those are displayed.
Miller
Orwell
Kensington
a.s.o.
Now I would like to see the ones having an 'S' in column A in another area
elsewhere.
How can this be done?
Christian

Subject: Re: multiple Filters
You can define multiple filters on the range of values. However, the
drop down list that is able to be selected on the second filter is not
constrained by what is selected for the first filter.
For example, assume you had the following :
$A $B
RDBMS mysql
RDBMS postgreSQL
RDBMS HSQLDB
OFFICE OpenOffice
If you turn on 'auto filter' and select to filter on column A of
RDBMS, only the first three items will be displayed.
However if you then select a second filter on column B, all the
options to select from (ie, you could still select "OpenOffice") will
be displayed.
However if you select "OpenOffice" no rows will be displayed (since it
does not match with the first filter).
Unsure whether this makes sense, but if you have any queries reply to
the list...

Dear Users,
recently I successfully used the standard-filter on a list of data.
It puts all entries with an "X" in the first column to the designated
area.
Now I'd like to put other entries of the same list, e.g. all with an "S"
in
the first column to an other area.
It doesnt work.
How can it be done?
When I couldnt define a second filter on the same list, I copied it to a
newly defined area. Somehow I even destroyed the first filters effect,
although it is still defined properly.
Please help.
