Hi Manali,
Rename your text file to *.csv. Open calc and use 'file /
open' and select text/csv text as the file type. You get a
dialogue that allows you to parse the incoming data.

In Openoffice 2.0 beta I am having various problem with text data :
1. I am unable to import text data in Openoffice Calc. (It opens in Openoffice

2. If I copy text data in openoffice calc then there is no option to handle data (like in Microsoft office there is an option :
