It makes some sense to me, thanks. I have found the quick way to get from what OOo thinks of as a web document (looks like a webpage) to a regular document is to do a select all in the source doc, then open a blank text doc and paste in from the clipboard. Please select one of the paste special options that does what you want. In other words repeat the copy/paste with each option until you get where you need to be.
