Hi Mr. Hennessy, thanks for the info. I have now downloaded and installed OO 1.1.4 and all is ok.
If you are in contact with those who make the decisions at OO, I very very strongly suggest that after the Beta testing OO 2.x is made 100% compatible with Star Office (.sdw) formats. Many of us have changed from Microsoft Word to SO/OO because of compatibility problems. Should OO now demonstrate the same failings then the danger is that people will drift back - not good!
