This is unbelievable. I mean the lack of separation of left and right pages. In MS Word and Lotus WordPro (all the way back to Amipro) you can format the headers on the left page separate from the headers on the right page, (the same for the footers). This is an absolute must, especially if you need to format the page numbers so that they always appear either on the outside or inside margins. That's what our guy here needs. I haven't needed to do something like this for so long I had forgotten to look for the feature.

Hi, I want to number pages as follows: the first page must have the same
number as the second one, then for example the third page must have the
number two und so the fourth one. You know I want to count but not in
really following numbers. Every number has to be twice. Can you
understand me?
Hi Heinrich,
I do not think that this it possible using normal page numbers. However
there many be a way to do it using fields where the value is calculated
from the page number (i.e. my_special_page_no = (real_page_no + 1) / 2 )
and putting this in the header or footer of your page. No I have never done
this but I hope that there is enough info in Help -> Contents for you to be
able to follow it.

I'll be glad if you could answer in German?
