I am enrolled in an on-line school that requires all documents be prepared
using Microsoft Word. My operating system is Windows ME and I cannot find an
edition of Microsoft Word that is compatible with Windows ME. While searching
the Web for Word programs I could download, I ran across your site. It looked
great. Appeared to be just what I needed, so I downloaded it and started
preparing my school work on your word program OpenOffice.org 1.1.4. I also
loaded the recommended Security Patch.
Now I can prepare my school work, but when I make it an attachment to our
Office Express messages, no one on the other end can open it. I thought the
OpenOffice word program was supposed to be compatible with users of Microsoft
Word. Why are they unable to open it?
