Dear Sir,
I am very impressed with the Open Office Suite and have enjoyed
getting to know it better. I have been trying to learn how to develop
a data base with a friend and found it to be quite a task. I was
unable to read a data base created with MS Access with an mdb
extension. My intent was to review that data base and try to make
sense of the OO suite. The info on the web site says the product is
compatible with access. What might I be doing wrong? Also, are there
any tutorials for using the Base function?
Thanks,
Tom
No comment on accessing MS Access files. Primarily because I have not
really used Access.
You can probably find some documentation here:
http://www.oooauthors.org/en
This is Beta, however, and the documentation is not finished.
I will eventually try to access an Access database. I have used it to
connect to MySQL, Paradox, text files, address books, spreadsheets, and
of course, their own format.
