BTW, the Help does not contain any index reference to this feature,
which might probably be an oversight...
I think that your description is mostly self explanatory....
Assume that I am writing my book and I think, "Hey, I need a picture
here.... I should add this later". So, I can add a placeholder field
for a picture. When I click on the place holder, it automatically
opens a dialog box that allows me to select the picture to insert. If
I double click on the field, then I can move between them to see how
many I need to add. Pretty cool I think...
Yes, would be, if it really worked this way. My first e-mail in this
thread complained that it doesn't; after I double-click a text-type
placeholder, the dialog that is opened does not actually allow for
typing anything useful, it is just a "placeholder properties"-type
one. That is why I asked whether I perhaps misunderstand the idea...
Remember that it is a SINGLE click, not a DOUBLE click that is supposed
to open the dialog that allows you to enter the new text. It looks like
a text placeholder allows you to simply type the text in place. A double
click opens a dialog that allows you to move from one place holder to
the next.
