Sorry, I should have also added that I am using the latest beta of Open
Office 2
First, thanks for the reply, Keith.
When I go to save my preso I have a number of options with the file
types,
namely .sxi, sti, ppt etc but I cannot see anywhere on the "save as"
menu an
equivalent of pps.
So, the question remains, assuming multiple users have access to my file,
how can I "lock it up" so that they may view it but not alter it.
Thanks again for your help,
Rob
G'day Robert,
Yes
But my experience is that you can alter the file in PPoint - in fact
I have found .pps easier to transfer to PPoint than are .PPT

Hi Folks,
I am a newbie to Open Office and just starting to use Impress.
So far, so good but I am a bit puzzled with the file formats with
Impress.
Is it possible to save an Impress file with the equivalent of MS
Office "pps" format so the presentation comes straight up without
the edit windows and nobody can then alter the presentation
without access to the original file?
Many Thanks,
Regards
Rob Payne
