I see you are using Thunderbird. Are you aware that you can reject Return Receipts selectively with T-bird by setting up the account options correctly? Might be worth a try if you think you need them for some senders. Personally, I have them disabled completely. If someone wants to know if I read their email, they can request a reply. If they are too cowardly to ask, they deserve what they (don't) get.
