Please forgive my ignorance, but how does one create a simple x
vs. y chart of two columns of data?
I have two columns:
1 6
2 8
3 2
4 6
5 1
6 9
7 8
8 5
9 5
10 4
And I want to plot column B on the Y axis vs. column A on the x
axis. Yet selecting the two columns, then selecting Insert/Chart
and going through the wizard invariably yield me both columns
plotted on the Y axis, with the X axis used to number the rows
the data is on (in this case, the row numbers and my column one
coincide, but still the error is there).
This has got to be very basic, but I'm missing it.
Thanks,

It works OK for me. On the first step of the chart wizard, are you
checking ie putting a tick in the box "first column as label"? I think
you need to do this. Let's know how you get on.
