Hello,
I have data about different medias, DVDs, videos in a database. Now I
want to make a catalogue from this data. I thought I could do it like
a serial letter using serial printing fields.
But I get a page for each media.
What can I do that OpenOffice doesn't use a new page all the time but
concats the information? Or does somebody have a better idea how I
could solve this problem?

Hi Arnold,
Your message confuses me a bit. Are you tyring to perform a mailmerge?
It sounds like it. I think that what you probably want to create would
be the equivalent of "mailing labels". If you use the Beta, you can
actually create reports, which is what you really probably want to do.
Unfortunately, I do not know how to do these things off hand, but
hopefully this will help to point you to the correct documentation.
Why don't you have a look at the Data Crow project on Sourceforge.
It is a system that does exactly what I think you want. If you
made your database using Open Office 2.0 beta, it just might be
possible to use the same data in DataCrow because DataCrow and
OpenOffice.org both use the same database engine (HSQLDB).
Look at it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/datacrow
