     Yes these four steps work for me. In cells A1-A5, I entered a 
letter. So cells A1-A5 contained A-E respectively. Then I followed 
these steps to drag and drop this range of cells to K30. Then K30-K34 
contained A-E respectively as did cells A1-A5.
     Step 4 is very important. No key is held down before the left mouse 
button is released, the cell or range of cells is moved rather than 
copied. If the Control key is being held down while releasing the left 
mouse button, the cell or range of cells is copied.
     Have you been able to get the results I listed in step 2? In other 
words, I need to know which step creates the problem.
