I have a Star Office 5.1 word processor program which came with my computer
and windows me. some friends have had trouble opening my files, and one
suggested I download Open Office to use it, as that may be easier to share, and
convert to pdf.
I downloaded a version based on what I thought might be the best one of the
locations listed for the U.S. but my computer doesn't open it correctly, and it
is undecipherable. What version should I download? Or should I update my Star
Office? I saw that there are newer versions of that available, but wasn't sure
which to use, and I had trouble finding an e-mail support at the Sun website
that looked appropriate and free to use. I have an e machines e-tower 566i2
with Windows Me
