I have the Open Office installation CD for Windows, Linux and Macintosh. My new G5 is running Mac OS 10.4. According to the instructions this is OK. However, my G5 doesn't have the Panther suite on it but, rather, the new Tiger suite of applications. The Open Office disc keeps asking for insertion of the Panther installation disc, and I cannot provide that as it did not come with my computer. Now what do I do? I love Open Office on both my PC and laptop which run Windows XP, so wanted to use it on my Mac which, as many of you know, doesn't come with an office suite or word processing program anywhere nearly as good as Open Office. Your advice and assistance is much appreciated.
