I personally disagree with Randomthots. One of the features of this
program, and what many of the questioners on this forum need is simple
interoperability with MS Office.

On the other hand, it is pretty fair say that there is a potential for
a UI improvement here. Despite the best efforts on page 27 (a hint -
extensive reading is needed), many people (not most) get confused. The
action and the information aren't in the same place or easily
available at the same time.

I see two "opportunities" for improvement.
        A "help" sidebar on the box that asks if MS office file type
associations should be set for OpenOffice, explaining what it means,
and how to reverse it later if desired (or where to find this
information later).
        A similar option box on installation that offers to set the
save-as file-types to MS defaults, again with a help side-bar
providing the advantages (limited ability to directly pass files with
MS users) and the disadvantages (formating limititations and
good-but-imperfect MS compatibility)

Just a thought.
