I'm wondering if there is a way to use a Calc spreadsheet as an email
address source for a broadcast message. I have a small spreadsheet with
20-30 email addresses I'd like to include in a broadcast email. I can
copy the column/field of addresses and paste into the Send To email
window, but with a much larger file, is it possible to use the file as
the source of email addresses to send to without copying and pasting?
Hi Carl,
Have a look at http://dba.openoffice.org as I think it is explained exactly
what to do there.
Hmmm. Thanks. I don't see an explanation there of what I want to do,
though if I go to the Tips and Tricks link I can find some discussion
about using Base data as an email source. Let me explain what I'm
trying to do again. I have a spreadsheet with email addresses that I
don't want to import into my email address book, but still want to use
to send email. I can filter this list using spreadsheet tools, but what
I can't figure out is how to take a filtered list and send an email
using the email address data as the Send To source for an email. The
email is created in Thunderbird but could be done some other way. Do I
have to do some kind of ODBC connection?
Carl
