I have found 1.9.125 very stable. I leave it to others to advise as to whether one should use the Beta 2 for production.

ALL software has bugs. Beta software, by its nature, has more bugs, and
more serious bugs..

The decision whether you can tolerate the risk lies with you. I have used 2.0 pre-Beta and Beta versions with no loss of data and quite minimal crashing
since 1.9m69. I currently run m130 and have found all versions pleasingly
solid.

I had a minor annoyance with a default setting for 1.9m118 I think it was, but
that really was minor. 1.9m122 came out quite soon and fixed the problem.

The folks who warn you don't know your level of tolerance for risk, and can
only warn you of the non-zero probability of loss of data.

OO.o beta 2 may take my system down in the next 5 minutes and destroy 5
years worth of data. I don't believe it will happen, and I can live with the risk.
Besides I am well backed up except for today's work.

The question that only you can answer is "Can I live with the risk?" You have
to decide. They don't want to decide for you.

Hope this helps.

With Warm Regards
David Teague

--The choral background music for a recent Microsoft Internet Explorer
TV ads is the Confutatis Maledictis from the Mozart Requiem (Mass for
the dead). The words of the final blast of music that accompanies "Where
do you want to go today?" are "confutatis maledictis, flammis acribus
addictis..." which means "the damned and accursed are condemned to the
flames of hell." Presumably this answers that question once and for all.
"Winduhs" (I wish could recall where I found this.)
