Subject: Query in Base

www.fundacionanisa.org <http://www.fundacionanisa.org/>

Does anybody know how to create a one to many query based on two tables in Oo Base which will allow us to base a form on it and begin inputting data? We have the two tables set up but the form, based on a query we have created through the wizard, will not present the first row for data input. Nor will the query, when we run it by itself, present a first row for data input. Wha happen?

You are not the only one struggling with this. I reported it as an issue.
Check http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=53377.

I was asked to provide a step by step build up to this problem and am trying
to find the time to do so.

Cheers
Gert

Dear Gert or whoever can use it or get it to someone who can . . .:

i wrote the following to somebody, i don't remember who know. If it helps you any, let me know. If you need me to make it more specific, let me know and i'll do what i can. i went to the OO Issue webpage but couldn't for the life of me figure out 1.) how to post a bug or 2.) how to vote on one of the issues. Boy do i feel dumb.

i have been trying to create just two tables and then create a query based upon the two tables using the Primary Key in Table One and a Foreign Key in Table Two and then begin to input data into both tables. Eventually, if i can do this, then i want to construct a Form, based upon this query for the users' data input and update. When i try to run the Query, it comes up with all the Fields that i have asked for, but no First Row for data input. i've been trying to do this with PostgreSQL and Base as well as HSQL and Base in both Win XP and Linux (Mandriva 10.1)

Hope this helps and have a nice afternoon! :-)
