Not sure why, but the DB feature has never been in a Mac version (or in the Mac version of MS-Office) even in the pre-sun star office days. I guess that's why Filemaker is still around. Someone must have decided long ago that Mac users don't have any data that we couldn't manage with just a spreadsheet and caffeine.
