Well, if we had that built in the MacOS X version would be nice or
nicer.. sometime, simple or (KISS) Method is the best, and no method,
well, not good.

Perhaps the OP should install a real database server? MySQL and
Postgres are both open source.
And not for the faint-of-heart. The manual for MySQL runs to what, 1300
pages? Capable of running multi-threaded, multi-user,
industrial-strength, distributed databases with 14 million, billion,
quadrillion records at sub-nanosecond access rates. Okay, I exaggerate a
bit (but not about the manual), still isn't it overkill for the average
desktop database?
I LOVE the inclusion of the HSQLDB and the Base component. It's still a
bit rough round the edges but it removes the final hurdle for a lot of
people migrating from MSO.
