[users] Help when exporting to pdf using Formula Editor

I am trying to use the Formula Editor for the first time (which works like a
charm, couldn't have been more impressed), and I got all my equations that I
want. Now I want to export to a pdf. However, when I do, I tried opening up
the pdf in both FoxIt Reader and Adobe, and in both I get stuff like:

e^{n} = e over 1

Instead of the symbols, even though the symbols appear in the equation
editor. Is there something I am doing wrong, or is this supposed to be how
it exports?
