It might help if you explained in detail to us how you are trying to
connect to your dbf file, so that any potential respondees do not go off
at a tangent, and give you something totally unrepresentative.
I call up sbase, then when the dialogue comes up, I put in that I want
to connect to an already existing db. I then select the appropriate
file and directory and hit Return.
