Even better if the mirrors would also contain files with MD5 checksums.
(Especially when main site is down, but also to be easy found when looking in
the mirrors normally.)
That would be wrong: the mirrors should not be trusted, you download the
file from a mirror and check the MD5 sum against the official website,
how else to determine if the mirror is corrupt or compromised?
Anyway, it does not look like a very bright idea to schedule a downtime
just after announcing a Release Candidate :p
