[users] Cannot create forms in base

Hello,

I am trying to create forms with the wizards in Base with the following 
set up:

XP SP2
JRE 1.5.0.04
Open Office 1.9.130
Base connected to an Access 97 Database via ADO

Every time I get as far as Finish and everything freezes. Has anyone 
else had this, and if so is there a solutions?
