Can you use the Outline Feature to do that?

It's under Tools > Outline Numbering.

Then change Paragraph Style "Headline 1" to Number: "1, 2, 3..." Then
"Headline 2" to "a, b, c" You can add dots and parenthesis or whatever
Before and After it. So it could look like:

1. Question?
a) possible answer
b) another potentiality
c) this one is always the right answer
d) not even close

Or

Question Number 1:] what is "is"?
Answer A>>> a word!
Answer B>>> a verb!
Answer C>>> a defintion whose meaning excaped former President Clinton
Answer D>>> all of the above
Answer E>>> pixels on a screen

or whatever. You can even change the font for each "style", so the questions
are in bold, or bigger, or Times - and the answers are italics, smaller, or
Ariel.
