When you say that the mis-spellings are not found - are you saying that OOo has not picked them up as a mis-spelled word, or that it does not suggest the correct word for a mis-spelled one...
In the first instance, it could mean that you have not configured OOo properly. The second instance would require further investigation. Further information still required.
