Frustration is setting in. How do you do a newsletter
with graphics and fontworks in the heading? Then I
want to be able to save it and recall it for the next
month having the same heading. I tried:

1: Inserting a frame for the heading works fine.
Inserting fontworks in the frame works fine. Then
when I save it and recall it, the fontworks disappear.

2: I downloaded and installed the Newsletter template
as page 169 of the manual instructed. Calling the
Newsletter template works fine. Inserting Fontworks
in the heading works fine. Saving the file and
recalling it, the Fontworks remain intact as it
should. I then insert a picture on the left and a
picture on the right of the Fontworks, which works
fine. When I save it and recall it, the picture on
the right of the Fontworks is now on the left and you
can't move it back to the right.

3. I tried the FAQ, "How do I make a header appear on
only the first page of my document?" That worked too,
until I saved it, and recalled it. All of a sudden,
the style was back to default and I now had a header
on each page.

I am the secretary of a local chapter of an
organization. I've been doing the newsletters,
minutes and labels all on Wordperfect 8, which has
been a breeze. However, I'm not going to be secretary
forever. I've been trying to duplicate the
newsletter, minutes and labels on OpenOffice, so
others can continue on where I left off. Labels are
mostly the same as Microsoft Office - inept. However,
I SHOULD be able to create a newsletter! I've been
searching the FAQs, users manual and this users
group, I just don't know.

I have an AMD 1800+ (1.3Mhz), 51`2 DDR, OpenOffice
2.0rc1.
