Hello all
In setting a bulleted list to appear point by point (line by line) in
Impress I have to select each point and add/activate the animation. Is
there an easier way to do this? It would be nice to be able to select
the entire box and add once.

Nonetheless, I really enjoy the way in which I can individualise the
animation for each point through Effect Options.

I have scanned FAQs and forum topics but don't readily see this addressed.

It is not easy to find but try this :
- in the "Custom Animation" task window click on "Add .." and in the "Entrance" tab "Fly In" and press Ok - Now click oin the effect options button ( "..." just to the right of the "Direction" button
- In the "Text Animation" tab choose "By 1st level paragraphs".

and test :)

Thanks CP
I tried that but at first it did not work.
However in going back over the steps I discovered that the problem was in how I selected the points/lines to be animated. I had been selecting the text within the text-box and this was not working. In Effects Options (in the white space above Change Order) I had a vertical column of my selected points but only the first was animated. I then, accidentally, selected the text-box itself and discovered that in Effects Options (in the white space above Change Order) I had a single entry called Outline Text 1. As this was new I deleted the vertical column and re-tried your suggestion and this time it worked /purrfectly/.
Now who is the happiest chap in town!
Hope this makes sense :-\

personal note - thanks for taking the time on such a small item, CP. I'm honoured because I know from the forum that you are a very busy person.
