Many thanks Dan, Dale and Walter for your interest and suggestions - I have learned several things, but alas, haven't cracked my problem yet. I've been to IE Help but cant find a mention of JavaScript. In Internet Options/Security Settings I found a "Scripting" Setting showing "Active Scripting! as enabled, but cant seem to find "JavaScript" anywhere so dont know if it is enabled or not! I will be extremely grateful if someone can steer me with a bit more detail. Please bear with me, as I am now 81 and sometimes a bit slow at grasping some of these procedures! Incidentally, I am running IE6 , using Zone Alarm Firewall, Pop-up blocker is turned off. I suppose there can be faulty pages on some sites, but I am more inclined to think the fault lies with me. Also, bear in mind that it's possible some of the JavaScript scripts are not functioning properly. I have JavaScript enabled in both IE and Firefox but still occasionally encounter pages that report JavaScript errors. Sometimes it's the scripts themselves that are to blame. -- Walt Campbell atypicaluser (at) gmail (dot) com On 10/14/05, Dan Lewis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On Friday 14 October 2005 10:31 am, John Barman wrote: > > I know this is not exactly an Open Office question, but I am sure > > somebody can answer this one for me. Possibly you should assure that your browser has JavaScript enabled. -- Dale Erwin Salamanca 116 Pueblo Libre Lima 21 PERU Tel. +51(1)461-3084 > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
