To insert a page number, you need a header or footer in which to put it. Header: Insert > Header > Default Click inside the Header to place the cursor there. Enter the word Page if you want it. Insert > Fields > Other > Documents (tab) Set Type to Page Set Select to Page numbers Set Format to As Page Style Click Insert Click Close. Footer: Insert > Footer > Default (The rest of the steps are the same as inserting a Header.)
