You do not mention system configuration nor operating system. It helps to tell what your system has. A very slow system will load very slowly, and there is nothing you can do about it. My XP SP2 system has a WinFast 333 MHz FSB MoBo, a Sempron 2800 processor, 1GB 333 DDR RAM, and 7200 RPM 133 MHz ATA disks, my system loads OO.o in 3+ seconds with QuickStarter in the system tray. I suggest that you do check following, if not what I have listed here, make these changes. Start OO.o Click Tools menu, Options, In the left window, click Memory. Graphics Cache: use 129 MB Memory per Object 19.9 MB Remove from Memory after 00:30 Minutes Cache number of objects 20 These changes are made by the installer on my system, but take a look, whether you use Linux or Windows. Making these changes to an earlier (2.0 Beta) version decreased load time from about 20 seconds to about 5 or 6 seconds.
