I assume that you are using windows.... The last time I installed gimp
on a windows computer, I downloaded the following three files:
1. gtk+-2.6.9-setup.exe
2. gimp-2.2.8-i586-setup.exe
3. gimp-help-2-0.9-setup.exe
I installed them in the order that I have listed them. I think that
there might be other distributions that do not require this... I do not
remember where I got them.
