I think you have (inadvertently) highlighted one of the main factors
that people overlook when making the comparison between MSO & OOo.
Microsoft have spent 15+ years (ignoring millions of dollars) developing
the code and expanding the features of Office. Sun/OOo on the other hand
have got this product up to a level where it can reasonably be compared
to MSO in just 5 years.

Maybe in 10+ years time, there will be users on MSO lists asking why
their favourite office suite doesn't have this or that feature of OOo ;)
