OOo1.1.2 for Linux using dBase tables

I would like to use two Data Sources[or as an alternative, 2 seperate Tables
from the same Data Source] in the one Document; one source supplying the
address of our club members, and the other, the information for the people
they are contacting. I am also trying to use the statis of one field in the
second data source in the Condition of the NextRecord field of the first
data source.
The fields, when viewed in the document, all show both the Data Source and
Table Name of each individual field so I expected them to be able to work
without interferring with each other.
But I am only getting one Table at a time being active [and showing the
appropriate Data Values when printed], with the other soures fields printing
as <INITIALS> etc. [not values].
I also have not found so far [Help files,
documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/<http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/>,
this Users group] any examples of how to correctly name a field from a
seperate Table, I am using this format(unsucsessfully)
DataSource.Table.FIELD e.g.: Lions.ClintonPhbookdB.INITIALS

I also have a second request, I would like to do a Find and Replace on Field
Names that have been inserted into the Doc.. [Probabily as imposible as the
first request.] We have old Fields have been split into 2 or more new Fields
> new field names ensuing. And for us they are large documents, one contains
just less than 6000 occurances of 14 seperate feilds spread thoughtout the
doc., another, just short of 8000. To date I have been using macros to do
this, but as I am only just starting to learn macros I have found this to be
very slow and error prone.

Any advice anyone?
