What you want to do can be done with templates. I would recommend you
click this link with your mouse:
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/index.html.
Download "OOo 2.0 Getting Started Guide - Full Book." It is 5.8 MB, so it will
take some time to download it. It will be well worth the time. It will
explain things in fairly simple terms with many illustrations.
As far as creating a letterhead, open the OpenOffice.org program. Click
File, click New, and then click Text Document. A new document is opened.
Create the letterhead you want to use. When you are satisfied with what you
have follow these steps:
1) Click File, click Templates, click Save.
2) In the New Template box, enter the name you want this file to have.
3) Click OK. (You have now saved this file as a template.)
4) Push down these two keys together: Ctrl and w. You will get a window open
asking what you want to do with the file: save it, discard it, or Cancel.
Click Discard. (It has already been saved as a template, so it does not need
to be saved as a regular file also.)
The next time you need this letterhead, click File, click New, and click
Templates and Documents (bottom of the list). It will create an untitled
document with all the letterhead information in it. Add the rest of your
letter, save the letter, and you are finished. The template remains
unaffected in the template's folder ready to be used again.
