Raises a critical question; am I reading this right that Base is only providing canned fields from which one chooses - that there is no provision for user-defined fields? If so, that severely limits its utility. The other question that the manual raised is, I saw no mention of any sort of "Global Update" feature - i.e., increment all appearances of a certain field by 1, and so forth. Does one have to write Java to accomplish this, or something? Thanks, Brewster Gillett -- ****************************************************************** W.
