    Subject: problems opening oo document

    Hello

    I got this weird problem:

I got a document that i first write in MSword using Winxp, then i change to
Openoffice 1.1 using Debian sarge, that was cool, no problems, until this
happen: in my linux partition i got the winxp mounted so the original document
was always in the winxp partition , i open it in linux using openoffice and
save the changes in the winxp partition this don`t give me any problems, but ,
then happens the bad thing, a problem with the winxp partition, so what i do,
from linux i take all the files i need and make a backup in a CD, okay, fine
all is in the CD, no problem, then i just delete the winxp partition and stay
with linux...BUT when i try to open the openoffice document that i was working
that is in the CD ...it comes a window asking me for the character set of the
document..i try every set..and nothing work!!!, so now i got a document full of
weird symbols, i can`t read it, so i dunno what to do, other documents seems
not altered...so now the big question...how can i recover my document? what can
i do if every set of character only gives me garbage?

    hope you can help me

    thanks in advance

    M.
