In this case, I just clicked the "Print" toolbar button which sends the file
directly to the printer without going into the printer dialogue box.

But I had previously gone into Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org Calc > Print
and checked the box that says Print Only Selected Sheets. I just went in now
and confirmed that this box is still checked.

However, I just tried to reproduce the problem and I am unable to. So I
don't know what caused the undesired printing before, but it seems to be gone
now.

In the File > Print dialogue, did you select the box labelled Selection
or did you accept the default of All?
