Question: All my Word files are now marked as Open Office files. If I
Uninstall Open Office 2.0 will they automatically revert to Word docs with NO,
Repeat NO hassles? If there might be any, what can I do to prevent that
happening? I would appreciate your earliest answer please.

I started using Open Office 2.0 about a month ago and since that time have had a continuing, worsening problem of my computer slowing down more & more. At first, opening Word docs. in Open Office was just something I had to put up with waiting for it to complete. Lately, however, it has become extraordinarily slow and I cannot put up with any longer. Additionally, many of my associates are unable to open documents I send to them as emails and today, I am now finding that I cannot open Word docs from them coming to me as email attachemnts. After about 10 days of the slowing down, I decided to do a full scan and defrag of the computer. The scan took some hours but the defrag took 27 hours. It was only when I looked up the number of files scanned in my CounterSpy program that it found they had more than doubled to 192,000 in the 2 weeks since I had last noticed the number at 83,000. I have an idea that in saying "yes" to transferring my Word docs to OpenOffice docs that they are both there.
Whether or not that is so, I must get back to pure Word ASAP - it's urgent that
I do so to hold on to clients with whom I cannot correspond easily.

Sincerely
