You have turned your graphics off. If you are using one of the 1.1.x
versions of OpenOffice.org (OOo), you have a vertical toolbar on the left
side of the OOo window. The next to the bottom icon is the Graphics On/Off.
Click it and your graphics should reappear. If you have OOo 2.0, it is a
little harder to find this icon. Click View and then Toolbars and then Tools.
(View > Toolbars > Tools) The next to the right icon is the Graphics On/Off.
Click it.
You can do it another way. Tools > Options. Click the plus sign in front
of OpenOffice.org Writer (Text Document in 1.1.x) to open it branch. Click
View from that branch. In the Display section of that window, click the
checkbox in front of Graphics and Objects. Click OK.
Here is a tip that should help you if you are not aware of it. In 1.1.x,
click Help and then Tips. Now when you place the cursor over an icon, its
name appears in a little text box. For OOo 2.0, Tools > Options > General,
and then click the checkbox in front of Tips.
