Thank you for your reply. I was a user. The whole suite is rather large, and a virtual-memory hogger, and I only used the .doc and .xls eqivalents.
I know that developers always like to add more bells and whistles, but this might be something for OpenOffice developers to consider: 1. Allowing the different components to be downloaded independently, as well as in suite form, 2. Having a stripped-down version of the suite for the many users who don't use the bells and whistles, and need more user-friendliness (i.e., faster operation, less memory-hogging).
