Jim,

I guess that to expand a bit more on the wise words of Uwe, you will find in
the compatibility options of writer a checkbox that does exactly what you
see as a problem. Actually there are two check boxes (2nd and 7th from top)
and I am not sure which one you need to deselect... maybe both to be on the
safe side :)

I still have problems with frames that sometimes are not (in OOo) where they
are supposed to be in MSO, but it seems to be due to poor coding of the
position of the frames in MSO.
