I was trying to verify the whole thing, so I mailed. I thought it was going to
the organization, so I typed a subject that atracted attention in order to
avoid my mail being skipped.
Respecting what you said... Let me see:
1) Yes, I downloaded from the correct website.
2) The MD5 check is correct.
So... At this point, the things are right, but...
There are two facts that seem strange to me:
1) Ad-Watch fires an alarm when trying to execute the installation program. But
it does not appear in a deep Ad-Aware (updated, of course) deep scan.
2) Kaspersky AVP says it's corrupted... but the MD5 check is right. ¿__?
So I am a little lost right now. I mailed Lavasoft (Ad-Aware company) but they
don't answer.
I think this is all false reports, but... "Distrust is healthy, paranoia is
almost always a virtue." :P
Guess I have to try and let's see what happens. Anyway, I guess my PC is
protected enough to avoid any spy-ware infection, specially the one supposed
here.
