The short answer is no. OOo is an integrated program. It consists of a
core section which is over 75% of the total and the individual parts which
run using the core. However, you do not have to install all the parts. At the
beginning of the install one of the choices in a custom install. Choose
custom and then select Impress. This will install the core section and
Impress. If you decide later you want to try another part, you can then add
it.
