Is there a way to make OOo 2.0 load faster? I've tried quickstarter but
that doesn't seem to help. The 1st time I load Writer for example takes
about 70 seconds, even with quickstarter loaded. Nothing else takes that
long to load. MS Word is one of the slowest other apps to load and that
only takes about 5 seconds.
My platform is Windows XP Pro on a 1.6ghz Dell D600 with 512M RAM. Hard
drive is only about 1/2 full and is defragmented once a week, yesterday
being the last time it was done.
