If I understand you correctly, it seems that you want to use the
OpenOffice.org Writer spellchecker to check your spelling in emails. You
can copy and paste between the two programs to perform the spellcheck,
but I assume you want something automatic. Unfortunately, this just
cannot be done. However, Mozilla makes a good, free email client similar
to Outlook Express that has a spellchecker. You can download that at
http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/.
