No it is not possible. The structure of OOo (OpenOffice.org) is such that all the application modules utilise the functions of core modules. These core modules represent ~75% of the download file size. If each OOo application were to be broken out into stand alone programs (highly unlikely this will ever happen) the complete OOo suite would (my guess) be 4x-5x larger than the current download. During installation you can select a "Custom Install" and select just those applications you wish to use (eg. Calc). IMNSHO this is a pointless option, because the space saving is minimal.
