I searched all the OO docs and can't find the solution to a mail merge
problem. I don't know if there is a solution, but hope so. In working with
Base, and then in writer with mail merge, I need to be able to eliminate the
space(s) created when there is an absence of data from a database. For
example, some records may have 2 address lines between the name and city, yet
most will only have 1 address line. If I have 2 defined fields for address 1
and address 2 there is an empty line created in the mail merge. Is there a
way in writer to keep from having an empty line when there's no data to
import from a database?

Thanks!

Fred
