If you used exploder to download the file, its possible that it thought
it was a text file and did some unwanted line end conversions,
therefore trashing the file. I'm told that holding down the shift key
while clicking to initiate the download fixes this, but I have no
personal experience since I'm running linux here. But I'd use some
other program to do the download, such as firefox, which doesn't suffer
from those winduhzz agravations. I believe it can also do resumes in
the event your circuit is subject to glitches. Get it first, and use
it exclusively as its far more secure. Google for mozilla-firefox, and
don't forget to hold the shift key down when starting the download.

And as you may have guessed, I'm not on a winduhzz machine so I don't
have those problems.

Thats a safe assumption, given that you were apparently useing an M$
utility to effect the download.

You may be able to speed that up with additional memory. You didn't say
how much, but typically if only 64 megs is going to be using a swap
file, bringing it to glacial speeds for big apps. 256 megs or more
will make a huge difference if that motherboard can make use of it.

Cheers, Gene
People having trouble with vz bouncing email to me should add the word
'online' between the 'verizon', and the dot which bypasses vz's
stupid bounce rules. I do use spamassassin too. :-)
